The Alice Cullen and Rosalie Hale of 'Twilight Saga' film series join other young Hollywood celebs to take part in a new PSA campaign, 'Coming Together as One', to fight disease and poverty.
In commemoration of World AIDS Day 2009 on Tuesday, December 1, "Twilight Saga" actresses Ashley Greene and Nikki Reed show their support for Africa by participating in a new PSA campaign called as "Coming Together as One". The campaign aims to mobilize young people to fight against poverty and preventable disease, such as AIDS, TB, and malaria.
The PSA was created by director Jesse Dylan, who made President Barack Obama's "Yes We Can" campaign video that featured Black Eyed Peas' will.i.am. Of the "Coming Together as One" campaign, David Lane, the president and CEO of global advocacy and campaigning organization ONE, said, "We know that this generation can help defeat extreme poverty, put more kids in school and protect families from preventable disease."
