Taylor Momsen Said Furious With Leighton Meester Over Music
The 16-year-old is reportedly mad at her 'Gossip Girl' co-star because some of Leighton's songs have been played in The CW's series, while none of hers are.
Rumor has it, is jealous of her "Gossip Girl" co-star . The 16-year-old is said furious because The CW has used Leighton's songs, "Good Girls Go Bad" and "Somebody To Love", in two episodes in season 3 of the teen drama series, but the network has never asked to play any of Taylor's singles.

"Taylor is not happy that 'Gossip Girl' has been playing Leighton's music on the show, and they have never asked to play any of her songs," a source told HollywoodLife.com. "It's creating a lot of tension on set." Commenting on the matter, a representative for the network said, "The show will support Taylor and her music when the time is right, but her music is not ready yet."

Of the possible reason why the network used the 23-year-old's tracks, an insider claimed her music's genre is more suitable for the show. "Leighton's pop music fits the theme of 'Gossip Girl' more than Taylor's punk rock songs," the insider admitted.

Taylor Momsen and her grunge band The Pretty Reckless have signed on to Interscope, but they have yet to release an album. Leighton Meester, in the meantime, has worked with for "Good Girls Go Bad" and for "Somebody to Love". The music video for "Somebody to Love" has been premiered on The CW. Meanwhile, her upcoming debut album, "Leighton Meester", is slated to be made available for purchase in U.S. stores sometime in 2010.
