The Blair Waldorf of 'Gossip Girl' has signed on to star alongside Gwyneth Paltrow and Tim McGraw in the country music drama.
An aspiring pop singer,

The 23-year-old will join "
Iron Man 2" beauty
Gwyneth Paltrow, "
Tron Legacy" lead
Garrett Hedlund and country crooner slash occasional actor
Tim McGraw in the cast ensemble. While not much has been disclosed about her character, it is hinted that her character existence will complicate the relationship between Paltrow's and Hedlund's.
"Love Don't Let Me Down" has Shana Feste serving as its writer as well as director. Production begins in 2010 in Nashville. The story follows a young rising singer-songwriter who becomes involved with a fallen country singer. They embark on a career resurrection tour with her husband-manager and a beauty queen-turned-singer, but romantic entanglements and old demons threaten to derail them all.
While she is famous as an actress, Leighton Meester herself is no stranger to the music industry. In April, she signed a recording contract with Universal Republic. She is featured in
Cobra Starship's "Good Girls Go Bad", and has debuted her first single "Somebody To Love" on radio on October 13. Both of the tracks had been used in two episodes of "Gossip Girl".
