While the 'Bride Wars' actress glams up when attending the special screening at London's Odeon Leicester Square, her co-star Nicole Kidman goes with a less extravagant look.
Kate Hudson has gone bewitching for the world premiere of "
Nine". Coming to the special screening event which took place at the Odeon Leicester Square, London on Thursday, December 3, the actress who takes on the role of Stephanie Necrophuros in the upcoming musical drama hit the red carpet in a sexy strapless white dress with matching satin heels.
Posing for the press, the 30-year-old made time to share her experience working with the star-studded cast ensemble. "It was incredible, it was an amazing experience," she gushed. "It was a learning experience, you got to watch people and see how everybody attacks it and we were all very supportive of each other because it's all singing and dancing and things we hadn't really done. It was really fun."
Sporting similarly extravagant look as Hudson at the premiere was her co-star
Penelope Cruz. The Spanish actress who plays sexy Carla Albanese in the film sported a striking look in a long flowing gown. Meanwhile, co-star
Nicole Kidman braved London's bitter cold in a less flashy and more elegant fashion.
Also joining the three for the special event were co-stars
Judi Dench and
Daniel Day-Lewis as well as director Rob Marshall. Dench, in particular, spoke at the red carpet on what allured her to the project, saying "I wanted to do it because of Rob Marshall and his reputation. I think he's caught a tremendous atmosphere."
Marshall, on the other hand, uncovered that he was delighted with the number of A-listers who were willing to take part in the film. "I was overwhelmed by the turnout of women that came and auditioned for Nine," he recalled. "We saw so many great actors and I was blown away by that. I think Chicago might have opened the door, people thinking 'maybe I can do that too'."
While most of the stars from the film came out to promote the movie, not all attended the world premiere. Three of the stars,
Marion Cotillard,
Sophia Loren and
Stacy Ferguson aka Fergie missed out on the premiere. Fergie couldn't come to the event since she was scheduled to perform with
Black Eyed Peas at "The Grammy Nominations Concert Live!!" on December 2 in Los Angeles.
Dedicated to the late British film director Anthony Minghella, "Nine" revolves around world famous film director Guido Contini who deals with a personal and professional crisis, while at the same time balances the numerous women in his life from his wife and his mistress to his movie star muse and his mother. To be released in New York and Los Angeles on December 18, it will open wide across the U.S. on December 25.
