A 2010 episode of 'CSI: Crime Scene Investigation' will witness the multi-platinum-selling country band getting themselves entangled in a crime.
Rascal Flatts will be seen getting themselves into big trouble that puts the future of the band in question, but that's only for an episode of "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation". has just got the scoop that the band consisting of Jay DeMarcus, Gary LeVox and Joe Don Rooney has been booked to be a guest on the CBS' crime drama.
All three members will be portraying themselves in an episode titled "Unshockable" that will be aired sometime in 2010. Executive producer Carol Mendelsohn promised there "will be lots of music, and perhaps, even a new original song." She further gave a hint on the story, mentioning that the episode deals with "a riff off [the group's] hit album, tour and song."
Offering more clues to what to expect, she teased that one of the band members will be the victim, while the remaining two are the suspects. "One of the guys - and tear out my fingernails, but I won't say who - will become the victim of a crime," she gushed. "The other two 'Rascals' will be suspects...thus, jeopardizing the future of the band."
Rascal Flatts isn't the first musician invited to be a guest on the popular series. In season 9 episode titled "Turn, Turn, Turn," another country crooner
Taylor Swift was seen portraying a character named Haley Jones. Back in season 7,
The Who's frontman Roger Daltrey guest starred as a missing mob boss.
On April 7 this year, Rascal Flatts came out with their sixth studio album "Unstoppable" which went on to debut at #1 on Billboard Hot 200. The band was, on December 2, announced to be among 2010's Grammy Awards nominees of Country Duo or Group With Vocals for their track "Here Comes Goodbye".
