The 20-year-old singer feels that he has mentally tortured ex-girlfriend Rihanna more than physically assaulted her.
During an interview with ABC's "20/20",
Chris Brown claimed that he has mentally injured
Rihanna. At the show, the "With You" singer said, "I can see what damage it does, mentally, more than physical... I was wrong for what I did."
"I would definitely say that it's not something that I look past or look over. Something that's really, really touchy." The 20-year-old singer added in the show which is aired on December 4, "And, like I said, I'm really sorry for what went down. And what happened."
Aside from sharing about how he feels toward Rihanna, Brown talked about how he himself was tortured by people's judgment. The "
This Christmas" star stated, "I think what it is when people see me smiling and kind of nonchalantly getting answers or, or saying things. I'm human, really, I'm like really hurting inside. And it really is devastating to me."
Chris Brown's assault to ex-girlfriend Rihanna happened on February 8. The singer, who will release his latest album "Graffiti" in the U.S. on December 8, later pleaded guilty for his misdeed. He was sentenced to 5 years probation and 180 days of community service in Virginia. In addition, he was ordered not to contact the "Umbrella" singer for the next five years.
