Jessica Simpson Said Fallen for Billy Corgan

A close friend to the songstress reportedly claims Jessica has 'secretly been crushing on' the former Smashing Pumpkins front man for months.

Jessica Simpson has been claimed to have a secret crush on Billy Corgan. According to OK! magazine, the pop-turned-country singer, who had broken up with quarterback boyfriend Tony Romo in summer, showed her interest on the former Smashing Pumpkins front man ever since she connected with him at a party on November 6.

"As the night went on, things got more intense and they talked with their faces just inches apart," an eyewitness said of Simpson and Corgan. "We do worry that she is on the rebound. But she is a big girl and capable of making her own decisions."

Of her crush on Corgan, a close friend of Simpson said that the 29-year-old has "secretly been crushing on him for months and felt there was a connection." The insider, in addition, gushed, "She has completely fallen for Billy and his easygoing, smart attitude. She says she wants to take things a lot further."

Before the crush report emerged, Simpson herself apparently had talked about Corgan. Back in September 11, she took to her Twitter page, writing "My friend, Billy Corgan, has a pure and enlightening outlook on faith. Go to his new website!"

Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo had been dating for more than a year before she was reportedly dumped by him on July 9, the night before she turned 29. Following the break-up, she was romantically linked to "The Ugly Truth" star Gerard Butler, but their romance report was debunked soon after it emerged.
