In an interview with ABC's '20/20', the 20-year-old singer reveals that he showed his 'Changed Man' to his ex-girlfriend a month after their February 8 altercation.
Chris Brown, who assaulted his singer ex-girlfriend
Rihanna last February, has claimed to have made the Barbadian singer shed some tears with his song. In an interview with ABC's "20/20", Brown revealed that he made her weeping a month after their February 8 altercation when he showed her his apologetic song, "Changed Man".
The "Run It!" singer told host Robin Roberts, "I played the song for her ... a month after the situation ... . And she cried." During the interview aired on December 4, the 20-year-old admitted to have performed the song to the "Russian Roulette" hitmaker with lyrics, "I'm a changed man. 'Cause you mean much to me."
Although Rihanna claimed that she hasn't heard the song, Brown came with a conflicting statement, "She called when she first heard the song." He continued on explaining, "And I mean, I'm not trying to call her any liar or anything like that. But I played the song for her when I first wrote it."
Chris Brown's "Changed Man" itself appears on his new album "Graffiti". The lyrics of the single contains an apology for his misdeed to the "Umbrella singer". In some parts of the track, he can be heard sharing his emotions following his infamous altercation, singing "I'm doing all that I can. And everybody hates Chris. They can never understand."
Brown will release "Graffiti" in U.S. stores on December 8. The album also features a track which is likely to be inspired by Rihanna called "Famous Girl". Several lyrics of the song express his regret, such as "I might have cheated in the beginning, I was wrong for writing Disturbia", and "Sorry I bust the windows out your car."
