Leona' hectic schedule is blamed to be the reason of the British singer's refusal to release 'I See You', the theme song of the sci-fi movie.
Leona Lewis has reportedly refused to release "I See You", the theme song of
Sam Worthington-starring movie "
Avatar". An insider claimed that she made the decision because she is currently busy her second studio album, "Echo", which has been made available in U.S. stores on November 17.
"Leona was delighted to be part of 'Avatar' but the song was never supposed to be released," the insider admitted. "But her cover of 'Run' wasn't meant to be released either - and look how well that did," the insider went on to say of the track from Leona's compilation album "Spirit [Deluxe Edition]".
"Avatar" director James Cameron reportedly once tried to persuade Leona by giving her a sneak preview at the sci-fi film, but she still didn't make up her mind. Of the refusal, James was said "to be particularly disappointed" because he believed that the track could be as successful as
Celine Dion's "My Heart Will Go On", the soundtrack of his hit movie "
Titanic".
"I See You" itself is set to be played over the end credits of "Avatar". The song, which is produced by James Horner and Simon Franglen, has on December 4. The film, in the meantime, is scheduled to be dropped in theaters across the U.S. on December 18.
In another Leona Lewis news, the British singer has unveiled the artwork for "I Got You", which will be also included in "Echo". The song will be released in U.S. radios on Tuesday, December 8.
