Uma Thurman Has Been Single for Almost Two Months

Words on the street are, the star of 'Kill Bill' has called off her engagement to multimillionaire fiance Arpad Busson following a small argument, and is planning to return the ring.

Rumor has it, Uma Thurman is back on the single market. The 39-year-old actress, who has been engaged to Arpad Busson for around one-and-a-half year, has allegedly separated from the Swiss financier for almost two months. Source close to the couple told E! News, "She has ended her engagement, it happened over two months ago."

The source further stated that the star of "Kill Bill" is planning on returning everything that belongs to Busson, including the 8-plus carat center stone engagement ring he presented to her. "She will probably give it back," the source said of the engagement ring. "She wants to return everything that is his." Nonetheless, the insider added, "They remain friends."

New York Post columnist Cindy Adams, in the meantime, reported that Uma was the one who suggested the engagement should be broken off after a small argument she had with Busson. She, however, didn't mean what she said. Still, it caused the businessman to rethink about their future together, which led to him calling time on their relationship.

Having been romantically involved with Arpad Busson since 2007, Uma Thurman was often hit by marriage reports. Back in September, she was reported to have rented the Kensington Palace, the former house of Princess Diana, for her June 2010 nuptials. Her representative was quick to deny the report, though, insisting "It is all wrong."

The former wife of actor Ethan Hawke herself has earlier mentioned that she hasn't had any plan on getting hitched. "I'm happily engaged, but we haven't set a wedding up," she told W magazine. "I'm not in a rush to do anything. One day we'll do it when we're ready. We can't live anywhere else because my children's father lives here. We'll figure it out."

Neither party has come out with any comment denying or confirming this break-up rumor.
