Being tapped as guest performer, Kris Allen took the stage of "So You Think You Can Dance" result show on Wednesday night, December 9. The reigning champion of "American Idol" strummed his guitar when performing "Live Like We're Dying", his lead single off debut album "Kris Allen".
The Wednesday result show unraveled which of the top 8 dancers get the tickets to the finale. Jonathan "Legacy" Perez, Ellenore Scott, Ryan Di Llelo and Mollee Gray were on the bottom four, and after delivering their solo routines, Ellenore and Ryan were announced to be save. The two join Jakob, Ashleigh, Kathryn and Russell in the final six for finale show on Tuesday, December 15.
Kris Allen has released his post-"AI" album in the U.S. on November 17. Initially titled "Translate Your Soul", his effort debuted at No. 11 on Billboard 200 with a mere 80,000 copies being sold in its first week. The first single off the set, "Live Like We're Dying", was premiered at New York radio station Z100 and was originally recorded by Irish band The Script.
