Of her upcoming North American Tour, the 'American Idol' alum says, 'I am getting so excited about next year as we are currently working through all the big plans for the tour.'
Carrie Underwood will be hitting the road in March 2010 to embark on "Play on Tour" to promote her latest studio album "Play On". The tour will be kicked off on March 11 at Sovereign Center in Reading, Pa. with opening performances from Grand Ole Opry's member
Craig Morgan and sibling trio Sons of Sylvia.
The tour will be held in 45 cities across North America and is going to be wrapped up at Spokane Arena in Spokane, Wash. on May 30. Tickets for all shows will be made available for purchase starting from next Friday, December 18.
Talking about the tour, 26-year-old Underwood wrote in her official website on Thursday, December 10, "I am getting so excited about next year as we are currently working through all the big plans for the tour." The country music singer went on, "I cannot wait to perform new music and see familiar faces across the U.S. and Canada!"
"Play On" is Carrie Underwood's third studio album after she won the fourth season of "American Idol" in 2005. According to Nielsen SoundScan, the record has sold 737,000 copies since its release on November 3.
