The 27-year-old singer has pushed back his album release date from December 21, 2009 to February 1, 2010.
Lil Wayne has pushed back the release date for his "Rebirth" album to early 2010. Wayne's Cash Money boss, Bryan "Birdman" Williams aka Baby is the one who revealed the delay. On December 9, Baby tweeted, "Rebirth album pushback Feb. 1."
Wayne has delayed the release of his album for several times before. He first set to release the effort on April 7, then pushed it back to December 15, and was last said to release the record on December 21. Young Money artist, Shanell, stated that the delays were made simply because Wayne wants the album to be "perfect". But, Wayne's rep didn't give any comment on the recent delay.
Back in October, the "Go DJ" singer shared about his upcoming record to Billboard magazine. He, at the time, said, "Yes, the album is still rock. I play guitar on 80 percent of the songs and there's a lot of rock influences and rock beats."
"I also have
Travis Barker on the album. But I don't want people to think I'm trying to do something I can't do," the 2009 Grammy Award-winning singer for Best Rap Album revealed the collaboration he made with the drummer of Blink-182. "Don't think you're going to put on the album and hear me screaming and singing."
