The Nate Archibald of The CW's 'Gossip Girl' acknowledges his natural appeal on many fans all the while he confesses he hates modeling.
Chace Crawford knows that he is hot, and he is apparently not shy in professing his charm. In an interview with Women's Wear Daily, the "Gossip Girl" hunk shares, "I'm not ignorant to the fact that part of the reason why the show's popular and part of the reason [why] people want to see it is to be like, 'Oh, novelty boy! Hot boy! Pretty boy!' "
While some of his fellow actors choose to be modest about such label people give them, the 24-year-old embraces it. "And that's all fine and good," he states. "It is what it is." Although acknowledging his good look, he opens up its downside when it comes to The CW's series. "I have to be completely, impeccably, annoyingly clean shaven," he laughs.
The ex-boyfriend of
Carrie Underwood also reveals that his look didn't send him running to modeling. He confesses, "I hated modeling". Still, he notes that he did some of some cheesy catalogue work in Dallas. On the reason behind, the actor who will be seen in "
Footloose" remake says, "Just to make some extra money."
During the interview, Crawford opens up that he'd love to model his career after such novelty actors as
Brad Pitt,
Leonardo DiCaprio,
Tom Cruise and
Paul Newman. Nonetheless, he admits that he didn't think about acting back in his school year. "I wasn't, like, Johnny Theater in high school," he says. "I was into sports. I was good at math. I was doing photography. I had my hand in a lot of different cliques."
