'I wanna thank my fans for all the support. I love yall. Goodbye!!!!!!!!!!!!' tweets the 'Crawl' hitmaker moments before deleting his account on the social networking service.
After slamming music retailers for "blackballing" his new studio album "Graffiti" via Twitter,
Chris Brown has decided to delete his account. Starting from Monday, December 14, his page, MechanicalDummy, was no longer available in the social networking service.
Moments before he deleted the account, the 20-year-old said goodbye to his followers in the micro-blogging site. In a post, the "I Can Transform Ya" hitmaker wrote, "I wanna thank my fans for all the support. I love yall. Goodbye!!!!!!!!!!!!"
On Friday, December 11, the ex-boyfriend of
Rihanna began tweeting about to retailer stores which didn't carry or display "Graffiti", which has been dropped in the U.S. on December 8. "Im tired of this sh**. major stores r blackballing my cd. not stockin the shelves and lying to costumers. what the f**k do i gotta do," he wrote.
On the following day, Brown took to his Twitter account again to continue his rants against music retailers. At the time, he told his fans that he had visited a Walmart store and found out that his record wasn't even available for purchase.
"Just was at Walmart in Wallingford CT, 844 north colony," Brown wrote. "The[y] didn't even have my album in the back ... not on shelves, saw for myself. But they had
Alicia Keys album ready for release for this Tuesday comin ... the manager told me that when there are new releases it's mandatory to put em on the shelves ... BUT NO SIGN OF #GRAFFITI. BS."
Responding to Brown's Twitter rants, Walmart's management released a statement on Monday. "We are surprised at the comments online. All Walmart stores nationwide have carried the CD since its release, including the Wallingford store mentioned in the post. This store actually sold through its initial shipment over the weekend. The majority of our stores today are showing they do have copies available," so the statement read.
