The Jessica Stanley of the 'Twilight Saga' series receives Best Supporting Actress nomination from the Broadcast Film Critics Association for her performance in 'Up in the Air'.
The Broadcast Film Critics Association (BFCA) has unraveled the nominees for the 15th Annual Critics' Choice Movie Awards on Monday, December 14, and
Anna Kendrick comes out as one of the noms' recipient. The actress who is recently seen starring as Jessica Stanley in "
The Twilight Saga's New Moon" is nominated for Best Supporting Actress.
She received the nod for her portrayal of Natalie Keener in "
Up in the Air". For the title, she will have to compete with co-star
Vera Farmiga as well as some other contenders,
Marion Cotillard of "
Nine",
Mo'Nique of "
Precious: Based on the Novel PUSH by Sapphire",
Julianne Moore of "
A Single Man" and Samantha Morton of "
The Messenger".
Her being nominated for Best Supporting Actress brought "Up in the Air" nomination collection to eight in total. The drama movie also collected counts from leading man
George Clooney who is up for Best Actor and director Jason Reitman for Best Directing, in addition to the Best Picture and Best Acting Ensemble among others.
While Anna Kendrick received one nomination, another young actress, fifteen-year-old
Saoirse Ronan, earned herself two nods. She is up for Best Actress and Best Young Actor/Actress (Under 21) for her performance in "
The Lovely Bones". For the Best Actress title in particular, she is listed alongside
Emily Blunt,
Meryl Streep and
Sandra Bullock.
The 15th Annual Critics' Choice Movie Awards itself will unravel the winners at the Hollywood Palladium on Friday, January 15, 2010 at 9:00 PM ET/PT. The show hosted by
