The upcoming musical episode of the CBS' show will see Neil's Barney Stinson dancing on the street along with some other main characters of the series.
First stills from the upcoming 100th and first musical episode of "How I Met Your Mother" have been brought forth by USA Today on Monday, December 14. One particular shot sees
Neil Patrick Harris, the depicter of womanizer Barney Stinson, donning a suit when showing off his dance move on the Fox studio lot's New York Street.
In addition to that picture, there are two other images which capture Neil dancing. But in these two, he is accompanied by
Cobie Smulders' Robin Scherbatsky, Josh Radnor's Ted Mosby,
Jason Segel's Robin Scherbatsky, and
Alyson Hannigan's Lily Aldrin as they show off their moves in the middle as well as on the side of the street.
Neil and her co-stars are joined by 65 dancers and a 50-person orchestra in performing a grand musical number for the hit CBS show's 100th episode, "Girls vs. Suits." Sharing about his experience filming the episode, the 36-year-old actor shared, "It almost felt like an old-school MGM musical to me. It was a lot of cast and crew grouping together to make it special."
In the episode itself, Neil's Barney will be seen getting a chance to go on a date with a beautiful bartender, who doesn't like guys in suits. The episode, which will be aired on January 11, 2010 at 8:00 ET/PT, could be the episode where the mother of Ted's children makes her appearance. "It's the closest we've seen Ted get to answering the question: 'Who is the mother?' " executive producer Craig Thomas said.
