Two of her 2009 movies, 'The Blind Side' and 'The Proposal', have brought the star of 'Miss Congeniality' nods for Best Actress at the 67th Annual Golden Globe Awards.
The Hollywood Foreign Press Association has finally come up with the full nominees for the 2010 Golden Globe Awards, and among those unraveled as contenders for the Globes was
Sandra Bullock. In the wee hours of Tuesday, December 15, the actress who had been nominated for the awards two times before was revealed to have got two nods.
The 45-year-old was given a Best Actress in a Drama nomination for her performance in "
The Blind Side". In addition to that, the star of "
Crash" also collected Best Actress in a Comedy or Musical nod for portraying an uptight boss in "
The Proposal". She has been nominated for the latter nomination twice before for "Miss Congeniality" and for "While You Were Sleeping".
While Bullock stood out in the performers category, "
Up in the Air" dominated the nominations in the movie category with six nominations including for Best Motion Picture. It overshadowed "
Nine", which collected five, as well as "
Avatar" and "
Inglourious Basterds", which got four each.
In the meantime, "Glee" led the television pack with four counts. Beating the number "30 Rock", "Dexter" and "Mad Men" got this year, this FOX musical series is vying for Best TV Series, Best Actress in TV, Best Actor in TV and Best Supporting Actress in TV.
Justin Timberlake,
John Krasinski and
Diane Kruger were the ones announcing the nominees for the 67th Annual Golden Globes in Beverly Hills, California. The gala ceremony where the winners are unraveled will be held on January 17 at Beverly Hilton Hotel.
Ricky Gervais will host the show.
