The '17 Again' actor gives a surprise birthday party for girlfriend Vanessa, who turned 21, by gathering about 100 of her friends at East Restaurant and Lounge in Hollywood.
Zac Efron has thrown a surprise birthday party for his girlfriend
Vanessa Hudgens, who turned 21, on Monday, December 14. A source revealed to E! Online that Zac thought it was harder than performing in "Saturday Night Live". "He said doing SNL was easier!" the insider said. "Zac made sure everyone she would want there was there."
For the surprise bash, the lead actor of the "High School Musical" series had to gather about 100 of Vanessa's friends at East Restaurant & Lounge in Hollywood. Said to be working hard to keep the party going well, he took the Gabriella Montez depicter to the restaurant where the celebration took place in a chauffeured Audi Q7 and gave a speech right before the party was started.
About an hour into the party, a red velvet cake was presented for Vanessa. "After she blew out the candles she made a sincere speech thanking everyone again and expressing her love for her family and friends," the source said. Her friend
Brittany Snow, additionally, gave a drinking advice to the birthday girl. "Drink responsibly and take cabs," the "
Prom Night" actress gushed.
DJ Zen Freeman played a mix of hip-hop and top 20 hits for the guests on the special night. Among the guests who came to the celebration were
Selena Gomez,
Ashley Tisdale,
Corbin Bleu, and "High School Musical" director Kenny Ortega.
Zac Efron began dating Vanessa Hudgens in 2005 when they starred in "High School Musical" together. Vanessa herself confirmed their off-screen romance in an interview with Teen Magazine back in 2007.
