Having received a Golden Globe nomination on December 15, the Jessica Stanley of the 'Twilight Saga' series is up for another award, the 16th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards.
Anna Kendrick has really struck the gold with her Natalie Keener role in "
Up in the Air". Having won the National Board of Review Award for Best Supporting Actress and been nominated at the 67th Annual Golden Globes, the actress who plays Jessica Stanley in the "Twilight Saga" series is nominated for another prestigious awards, the 16th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards.
On Thursday morning, December 17, the 24-year-old has been named among the nominees for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role. For the title, she will be competing against fellow "Up in the Air" star
Vera Farmiga as well as other
nominees,
Penelope Cruz of "
Nine",
Mo'Nique of "
Precious: Based on the Novel PUSH by Sapphire" and
Diane Kruger of "
Inglourious Basterds".
Beside Anna Kendrick, the Screen Actors Guild also put her co-star and leading
man of the drama movie
George Clooney for the Best Actor category. He is listed
along with
Jeff Bridges of "
Crazy Heart",
Colin Firth of of "

Jeremy Renner of "
The Hurt Locker".
Movies category aside,
Tina Fey and
Alec Baldwin of "30 Rock" are once
again nominated for Best Actress and Actor in a Comedy Series. Meanwhile, Jon
Hamm of "Mad Men" and
Hugh Laurie of "House M.D." will once again compete
for the title of Best Actor in a Drama Series.
Screen Actors Guild Awards honors
acting achievements in film and television. The nominees for the awards' 16th
edition were announced in the SilverScreen Theater at the Pacific Design Center in
West Hollywood and aired live on TNT.
Michelle Monaghan and Chris O'Donnell
joined Screen Actors Guild President Ken Howard in revealing those vying for the
awards.
The winners will be unraveled in a gala ceremony held on Saturday,
January 23, 2010. The special event itself will be telecast live simultaneously at 8
P.M. ET/PT on TNT and TBS from the Shrine Exposition Center in Los Angeles. Previous
winners include
Heath Ledger,
Kate Winslet, Alec Baldwin and Tina Fey.
