Ten days after giving birth to her first child on December 8, the 29-year-old supermodel announces that her son is named Benjamin.
It took 10 days for
Gisele Bundchen to finally uncover her first baby's name. The wife of football player
Tom Brady has recently announced on her personal website that she and her husband have named their son, Benjamin.
"I want to thank you all with all my heart for the immense love I have received here on the website. It is a pleasure to receive messages from each one of you here," her message read. "I am living a very special moment in my life, Benjamin is a blessing and I could not be happier."
Gisele's husband, Tom, revealed that they actually had picked a name for the baby months before the birth, but then thought it wasn't suitable enough. In an interview on WEEI Sports Radio recently, he shared, "It's kind of back to the drawing board. We thought we had a name picked out for about six months and then about two days before he was born she said, 'I don't like that name anymore.' "
Gisele Bundchen herself gave birth to Benjamin on December 8, at Brigham and Women's Hospital. She was, at the time, accompanied by her twin sister Patricia and mother Vania. Her husband Tom informed the blessed event on the next day at Gillette Stadium, saying "It went great. I didn't get much sleep, but I think that's most of us around here this time of year. I think everyone is doing well."
