Hinting the possibility of the 'Britain's Got Talent' alum's contribution to 'Bond 23', 007 classic theme composer Monty Norman gushes, 'She has the right kind of sweeping voice.'
Words on the street are,
Susan Boyle is being considered to belt out the theme song for "Bond 23". The name of the former "Britain's Got Talent" contestant was thrown in reportedly by Monty Norman, the composer for the 007 theme music as he told the Sunday Express, "She has the right kind of sweeping voice."
The Daily Mirror went on to report that the 48-year-old's voice has even been likened to Shirley Bassey's. The latter singer has sung three theme songs for the "Bond" movies, including "Goldfinger". Should she indeed contribute to the next "Bond" soundtrack, she'll follow the footsteps of
Alicia Keys and
Jack White who sang "Another Way to Die", the theme song for 2008's "
Quantum of Solace".
This rumor came out hot on the heels of the success of Susan Boyle's debut album "". The effort has topped Amazon's best-selling album in pre-sales three months before its scheduled release on November 23, and went on to be the fastest selling U.K. debut album of all time, the highest debut ever for a new solo female artist in the Soundscan era and the biggest opening sales week of 2009 in the United States.
