Alexander Skarsgard and Anna Paquin Bound to Hook Up in 'True Blood'

Although the Eric depicter in the HBO drama still isn't sure when exactly Paquin's Sookie falls into his arms, he is confident it'll take place saying, 'It's bound to happen at some point.'

Fans of "True Blood" can definitely expect a hook-up between Eric and Sookie, Alexander Skarsgard affirmed. In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, the HBO drama series star assured that his character and Anna Paquin's will eventually fall into each other arms. "It's bound to happen at some point," he said. "There is definitely something between Sookie and Eric."

Although he confidently said the hooking-up will take place, the 33-year-old actor admitted that he didn't know whether it will be seen in season 3. "I'm not sure if it's going to happen now or anytime soon or in season three, but eventually," he said. "It's a big part of the book, so I think something will happen at some point. I'll do my best to mess things up between Sookie and Bill. We'll see how well I do!"

Speaking up more about his character, he expressed his wish for the new season. "Hopefully I get to show more of everything and explore Eric and show different sides of his personality," he mentioned. "Season two was a lot of fun because in season one, you just got a little taste of Eric; you didn't get to know him that well."

"I think a lot of people after season one saw Eric as just Bill's evil boss, and I would always have to defend Eric because I definitely thought that there was more to the character than first meets the eye," he added. "Season two was fun because it was a great opportunity to show that there is more to Eric than just an evil entrepreneur."

With "True Blood" getting renewed for third season, there will be plenty more of Alexander Skarsgard as Eric Northman. In fact, creator Alan Ball has told OK! Magazine in late November that the actor will be naked in the first episode of the new season. Recently, it was reported that he will share screen with "The Bold and the Beautiful" actress Natasha Alam since she landed the role of Eric's new lover.
