In the meantime, Los Angeles coroner's officials launch an internal investigation after details of an investigator's confidential report on the actress' death were leaked out.
Speculation that Brittany Murphy's sudden death could have been caused by drugs overdose has been ruled out by her husband Simon Monjack. Eliminating the possibility, the British screenwriter told People while there was indeed prescription medication in the house, it was used only for the actress' "female time".
On the matter, the man to whom Murphy had been married since 2007 explained, "There was nothing here that could endanger her; there was prescription medication in the house for her female time and some cough syrup. That was it." He also insisted, "She was on herbal remedies that wouldn't speed up her heart."
As for the rumors that the Stacy Holt of "
Little Black Book" had eating disorder, Monjack has this to say, "These rumors that she was anorexic? It's crazy - she was slim, but that was her natural physique." He added, "This is what's killing all of us? How did it happen? Her mum, myself and her family - we want to know why we lost our baby."
While Simon Monjack is busy knocking down speculations, Los Angeles County Coroner's Office is dealing with the leak of confidential reports on the actress' death. E! Online reported that the agency is launching internal investigation after from an investigator, which included the frantic efforts to resuscitate the actress as well as the kind of prescription drugs found on the scene, was leaked to TMZ.
Chief investigator Ed Winter said, "The investigator did not release anything to TMZ, nor did he talk to anybody. Where did all this information come from? Neither Chief [Coroner Craig] Harvey nor I released the information. I don't even know if we provided LAPD with a copy of anything yet." He added, "Supposedly TMZ reviewed some documents, and of course they won't show them to me or tell me where they got them."
