Accompanied by her attorney, the 'Back to Black' singer voluntarily goes to the police station on December 23 for allegedly assaulting the manager of Milton Keynes Theater.
Although she is well known for her troublesome behavior,
Amy Winehouse voluntarily turned herself in to Thames Valley Police on Wednesday, December 23 after being reported assaulting the manager of Milton Keynes Theater. The "Rehab" singer, who was accompanied by her attorney at the time, was then promptly arrested.
Associated Press reported that a police stated the 26-year-old singer was charged with a public order offense and common assault under her married name Amy Civil. Although having been released on bail, she has to appear in court on January 20, 2010.
The assault incident itself reportedly happened on December 12 at Milton Keynes Theater when Amy attended a pantomime called "Cinderella". During the play, she was said shouting offensive words to the cast, repeatedly saying in loud voice, "He's f***ing behind you!"
When asked to move seats, the troubled singer allegedly attacked theater manager Richard Pound. The "Tears Dry on Their Own" crooner was said pulling the manager's hair, punching and kicking him.
Amy Winehouse is no stranger to legal cases. On March 5 this year, she was charged with common assault after a woman named Sharene Flash claimed that Amy hit her in the eye at a September 2008 Prince's Trust charity ball. However, on July 24, she was ruled not guilty by District Judge Timothy Workman.
