Pastor Fred Phelps and the notorious Westboro Baptist Church claim in a written statement that the 23-year-old singer is leading herself to hell with her provocative songs and support for gay.
Lady GaGa has sparked controversy with many of her stage performances, but Pastor Fred Phelps and his notorious Westboro Baptist Church see her in a different light as they called her "God-hater". The religious group recently issued a statement titled "God Hates Lady GaGa", which slams the "LoveGame" singer.
In the press release, GaGa is said to have provoked millions of her fans with her controversial songs, raunchy performances and tolerance of homosexuality. "'Art' and 'fashion' are the euphemisms, the guise under which proud whore Lady Gaga teaches rebellion against God," the statement read.
"Does the simple slut truly think that she can change God's standards by seducing a generation of rebels into joining her in fist-raised, stiff-necked, hard-hearted rebellion against Him? Get real!" the statement continued. In the end of the press release, it is written with capital letter read, "YOU'RE GOING TO HELL."
In addition, the Wesboro Baptist Church is inviting people to picket GaGa's concert at the Fox Theatre on Thursday, January 7, 2010. "We will be going to her concert with placards reading: God Hates Lady Gaga - to inform people that they will be going to hell too if they listen to her messages," Church attorney and member Shirley Phelps told .
Beside being known for her controversial singles, 23-year-old Lady GaGa has also gained public attention with her bizarre outfits and raunchy videos. She previously revealed to Rolling Stones Magazine that she is bi-sexual, saying "The fact that I'm into women, they're all intimidated by it."
