Allegedly Got Into a Fight With Wife, Charlie Sheen Arrested

The 'Two and a Half Men' star is being held without bond on domestic violence charges until his court appearance following an alleged fight with wife Brooke Mueller.

Charlie Sheen has to spend his Christmas behind bars. The 44-year-old actor was placed under arrest on Friday, December 25 in Aspen, Colorado on charges related to domestic violence. He was taken into custody at 11:20 A.M. after police responded to a 911 call at a historic house up for sale for $7.5 million.

"Carlos Irwin Estevez, also known as the actor Charles I. Sheen, was brought to the Pitkin County Colorado Jail for booking and incarceration following his arrest by the Aspen Police Department," Pitkin County Sheriffs Office patrol director Jeff Lumsden said in a statement. He added that Sheen was arrested for "Second Degree Assault, a class four felony, Menacing, a class five felony and Criminal Mischief, a class one misdemeanor."

Lumsden continued to explain that the star of "Two and a Half Men" will be held without bond until his first court appearance. He stated, "Mr. Estevez has a total bond amount of $8,500. As with all domestic violence cases, Mr. Estevez will remain incarcerated at the jail until his case undergoes its initial judicial review." No date has been set for his appearance just yet since the court was closed for Christmas.

The authorities noted that the victim didn't have to be taken to the hospital, but didn't identify who the alleged victim in his suspected domestic violence was. Radar Online, however, reported that the arrest came after he had a scuffle with wife Brooke Mueller. Sheen's rep told People, "Do not be mislead by appearance. Appearance and reality can be as different as night and day. It would benefit everyone not to jump to any conclusion."

Charlie Sheen is the son of actor Martin Sheen. He is married to Brooke Mueller in May 2008. He and Mueller welcomed their first children, twin boys, in March the same year. Mueller is Sheen's third wife. His marriage to Mueller came after his bitter divorce from actress Denise Richards. Before Richards, he was married to Donna Peele.
