Gracing the winter issue of U.K.'s Mizz magazine, the teen songstress opens up about finding her own style and going out without make-up.
Having a different style than ordinary teenage girls,
Selena Gomez feels like she was born in the wrong time. The Alex Russo of "Wizards of Waverly Place" admitted the thought to U.K.'s Mizz magazine when talking about her fashion style inspiration in of the publication, sharing "My friends say that I dress like a 30-year-old woman, as they're all into skater-chick things!"
"It's only in the last year that I've started to find my own style," the 17-year-old furthermore said when explaining about finding her own style. "I love the classic chic from the 1940s era. I get inspiration from all kinds of places, like movies I watch, pictures I find online - but I always go back to that period."
Beside opening up about her style, the TV actress who released her debut album "Kiss and Tell" in September revealed that she doesn't mind being caught on camera without make-up. "I love putting on make-up and trying different looks every morning, but there are days when it's nice to go natural," she mentioned. "It doesn't bother me if I get photographed on a no-make-up day, as it proves to my fans that I don't always look perfect. Trust me!"
Selena Gomez was recently reported to have take a hosting job at Pop-Con, an all-day festival aimed for tweens between 8 and 18 years old. Beside hosting the festival which take place in New York City on February 20, 2010, she is also expected to perform. Joining her in the performers line-up are
Justin Bieber, Push Play, Care Bears on Fire and
The Naked Brothers Band among others.
