The Beckhams' move to Los Angeles disturbs the 28-year-old actor because the famous family has dragged photographers to hang out day and night in the once-quiet neighborhood.
Some people might be thrilled of having
David Beckham and
Victoria Adams as their neighbors, but that doesn't happen with
Mark Wahlberg. In fact, he is a little upset over the Beckhams' move to his Beverly Hills neighborhood in Los Angeles, claiming that the Beckhams have "ruined the neighborhood."
"Man, the Beckhams. It used to be so quiet on my road. Then David moves in with his family. Suddenly we've got paparazzi hanging out day and night," the "Max Payne" actor shared, as quoted by the Daily Mail. "Now they'll follow any car that drives down the road."
Wahlberg went on by stating that Beckham, who joined football club Los Angeles Galaxy in 2007, is wasting his time if he wants to popularize the sport in the U.S. The 38-year-old actor said, "I'm just not sure why he came to America in the first place. Man, we don't want your soccer."
"There's no way Americans are going to buy the idea of 90 minutes of running around without much happening," the Charlie Croker of "
The Italian Job" added. "Thanks for trying guys, but we'll stick to baseball and basketball."
Mark Wahlberg made his big screen debut alongside Danny DeVito in 1994 movie, "Renaissance Man". He has since starred in various films, including "
Invincible", "
The Departed" and "
Four Brothers". In August 6, 2010, he will be seen in theaters across the country portraying Detective Terry Hoitz in "
The Other Guys".
