Having No Chemistry, Taylor Swift and Taylor Lautner's Romance Fizzled

The relationship between the two Taylors reportedly goes sour after the 'Twilight Saga' hunk joined the country singer on her birthday party in Nashville in mid December.

Not everything in 2009 works out well for Taylor Swift after all. According to Us Magazine, the country singer and her alleged boyfriend Taylor Lautner have gone to splitsville after only about three months of dating. As for the reason of the short-lived romance, a source close to the "You Belong with Me" hitmaker blamed it on the lack of chemistry between the two.

Of the matter, the friend explained, "It wasn't really developing into anything, and wasn't going to, so they decided they were better as friends. There was no chemistry." The insider further noted that the pair "plan to stay friends" although they have decided to call it quit. The source additionally mentioned possibility of the two reuniting when they promote romcom "Valentine's Day".

On when the relationship officially came to an end, Swift's pal suggested that it took place when the "Twilight Saga" actor flew to Nashville for her birthday party on December 13. "He liked her more than she liked him," the source said. "He went everywhere he could to see her, but she didn't travel much to see him."

Taylor Swift and Taylor Lautner met on the set of their upcoming movie "Valentine's Day". They first sparked romance rumor, when she gave him a hug at her October 9 concert in Rosemont, Illinois. Since then, the two were often seen going out together. Both of them have joked about their romance on separate "Saturday Night Live" hosting gigs. There are yet comments from both parties on the split.
