Although Angelo Bertolotti has spoken about his actress daughter to several media outlets in the wake of her death, the recently-outed death certificate lists the actress' father as 'Unknown'.
While he has expressed his grief over the sudden passing of his estranged daughter Brittany Murphy, there is no Angelo Bertolotti name found in . On Tuesday, December 29, TMZ uncovered that the document released by the Los Angeles County Coroner little more than a week after the actress' death fails to name him. In fact, it listed the late actress' father as "Unknown".
It is no secret that Bertolotti, who divorced Murphy's mom Sharon Murphy when the "
Just Married" star was just two years old, had not seen the actress since 2006. He himself has admitted the fact to Us Magazine following Murphy's death. Later on, he revealed that he was not invited to the actress' private funeral, adding that even if he was invited he won't attend due to his grief.
The exclusion of Angelo Bertolotti's name from the document wasn't the only interesting piece of information uncovered. The death certificate also named "Tayebe Pajooh, cousin" who resides in North Carolina as "INFORMANT", the person who provides Murphy's vital statistics and information to the mortuary.
While some details in the death certificate may bring up questions to the circumstances of her death, one thing has come out as expected. Murphy's cause of death is listed in the document as "deferred" and her manner of death is noted as "pending investigation". The Los Angeles County Coroner is still waiting for the result of toxicology and tissue tests.
Brittany Murphy passed away on Sunday, December 20. She was pronounced dead at 10:04 A.M. after going in full cardiac arrest. Before being rushed to the hospital, she was found by her mother collapsed in the shower. She was laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memorial Park on Christmas Eve, December 24 after .
