Accused of stealing Gwyneth Shoes' design for her footwear collection, the hotel heiress is facing a trademark and patent infringement lawsuit.
Paris Hilton's shoe collection has landed the Hollywood socialite in hot water. TMZ has recently come out with a scoop that the hotel heiress has been hit with trademark and patent infringement lawsuit as Seattle-based shoe company Gwyneth Shoes claimed her new line of footwear is a complete rip-off.
In the documents filed in Seattle last week, it is unveiled that the shoe company is suing the 28-year-old for the heart-shaped pad on the insole. The company claimed that they were the first who came out with the idea, adding that they have filed to patent the idea back in 2007. They demanded Paris to return every pair of shoes that features the design.
Paris Hilton launched her footwear collection in February 2008. She described the line as chic, high quality and affordable. When promoting the product back in 2008, she also stated, "Paris Hilton Footwear is perfect for the fashion-forward young woman who wants to look and feel great from head-to-toe, without spending a fortune." There are yet words from her camp regarding the suit.
