The hotel heiress, who once believed that the former "The Hills" star will be her future husband, was said dumping him after they had a big argument and she realized that "he was only dating her for publicity." Nevertheless, the pair proved that they can hardly be separated from one another. In late July, Paris and Doug eventually rekindled their romance. 
Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green seemed trying very hard to maintain their 5-year relationship. In fact, the couple has used counseling service in March to find solution for their problems. Though a friend of the engaged couple said they "are very much in love and plan to be together for a long time," the pair evidently could not avoid separation. In June, the "Transformers" beauty revealed she had dumped her fiance, saying "I'm currently what you would call single." Still, the twosome was later on spotted spending time together in frequent outings.

Unfortunately, later that month the pair abruptly ended their romance. The former 98 Degrees' member and the 1998 Miss Teen USA, who moved in together less than a year after first dating in June 2006, were previously still going strong amidst rumors that their relationship was in trouble. Though so, few months after their separation was confirmed, Nick announced that he and the 29-year-old beauty have "patched things up." 
Said moving forward their nuptials to autumn 2008 in order to save the Scottish actor from being deported from the U.S. as he stayed with a non-resident work visa, Jennifer Love Hewitt and Ross McCall never made their wedding a reality. The lovebirds, who got engaged in November 2007 after dating for two years, called off their romance during their December 2008 holiday. Their split reportedly surprised their friends seeing that the couple "seemed really happy." However, it was not until early January that the break-up news was finally revealed. 
Kim Kardashian had picked her engagement ring before she called off her romance with Reggie Bush in late July 2009. The couple, who admitted they were "very sad" about their break-up, was said ending their two-year relationship because of their alleged secret affairs. Kim was said cheating on Reggie with Kanye West, while the athlete reportedly cheated on Kim with Latino model Carmen Ortega. In early October, however, the celebrity socialite confirmed that she has reunited with the NFL player. Since then, their love life has been far from gossip. 
Jessica Simpson believed Tony Romo would be her future baby's daddy. Unfortunately, she was dumped by him just a day before her 29th birthday in July. The split news came out as a surprise since the pair never hinted that their relationship was on the rock since they first dated in November 2007. Moreover, they had sparked engagement rumors for several times after they reportedly went for ring shopping and talked about winter wedding. Explaining the reason for their break-up, a source said, "She loves Tony. But it's been difficult lately. He's busy with his career and she's getting ready to shoot her show ('The Price of Beauty')." 
Being engaged on December 31, 2008, Karina Smirnoff and Maksim Chmerkovskiy planned to tie the knot in June 2010. Unfortunately, the "Dancing with the Stars" dancers' wedding plan didn't come into materialization as the pair abruptly called off their engagement. Announcing the sad news was a representative for the 31-year-old beauty, who said in September 2009, "I am confirming that they did indeed break up." Admitting "it's a little rough" for him after the break-up, the Ukraine guy later on stated he is no longer friends with Karina, whom he had reportedly known for 15 years before they began dating in late 2008. 
It is so sad that Rihanna and Chris Brown, who played coy about their fling despite pictures that showed them engaging in some PDA, had to end it because of domestic violence. On February 8, the R&B singers were involved in serious argument which led the "With You" hitmaker to attack his girlfriend of a year. Though the Barbadian beauty gave him a second chance soon after the altercation, they decided to take a break in March. The two have since remained estranged, especially since Chris got a restraining order that demands him to stay away from the "Umbrella" songstress for five years.
