Jason Castro Is a Married Man

The 'American Idol' alum has tied the knots with girlfriend Mandy Mayhall in his hometown near Dallas on Saturday, January 2.

Jason Castro, the former contestant of "American Idol", has married his girlfriend Mandy Mayhall. To Us Magazine, his representative has confirmed that the 22-year-old who finished fourth on season 7 of the popular singing competition tied the knot in his hometown near Dallas on Saturday, January 2.

The dreadlocked singer himself has made use of his Twitter account a day after the wedding to share the happy news with his fans. On Sunday, January 3, he wrote, "Yesterday I married the girl of my dreams. It couldn't have been more perfect! Now, honeymoooon!!! :)" Still, he didn't disclose any details regarding the nuptial itself.

Jason Castro confirmed that he was engaged to Mandy Mayhall in November 2009. He reportedly proposed on Halloween while they were wearing "Beauty and the Beast" costume. On December 29, 2009, days prior to the wedding, Castro revealed that he celebrated his bachelor party with bowling, poker and pool. He tweeted, "Bachelor partayyyy!!! Bowling Poker and pool all in the same room!"

Wedding news aside, the singer-songwriter will release his EP, "The Love Uncompromised", on Atlantic Records on January 12. The newly-married singer will follow it up with a full length album, "Jason Castro", in the spring and a tour later this month. He has performed his new single "Let's Just Fall In Love Again" in 2009.
