'It's passionate', the Jane of the 'Twilight Saga' series describes her girl-on-girl kiss with her co-star in the upcoming biopic movie about the popular 1970s all-girl rock band.
Taking more mature role as she grows older,
Dakota Fanning will be seen having a girl-on-girl lip-lock with
Kristen Stewart in "
The Runaways". When asked to describe the kissing scene between their characters, the 15-year-old simply told V Magazine, "It's passionate - they were just as close as two could get."
During the interview, she also opened up about her Cherie Currie role, saying "It's a true story of her evolution from good Valley Girl to bad rock 'n' roll princess." She also shared her excitement being a part of the biopic. "I really enjoyed doing that subject matter for the first time in a biopic, because it really happened - it's not just a made-up story about a 15-year-old running wild," so she claimed.
"The Runaways" will see Dakota Fanning taking on the role of the band's lead vocalist. Also in the cast ensemble are Kristen Stewart who plays
Joan Jett, Scout Taylor-Compton who acts as
Lita Ford and Stella Maeve who portrays Sandy West. It will have its world premiere at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival on January 24, before being released in select North American theaters on March 19.
The biopic movie that follow the band from their meteoric rise as teenagers to their dissolution and disillusionment won't be Fanning's first time collaboration with Stewart. Both of them have worked together in "
The Twilight Saga's New Moon" and "
The Twilight Saga's Eclipse". Fanning plays Jane, while Stewart stars as Bella.
