Michael Buble Said Engaged to Luisana Lopilato

Rumor has it, the 'Haven't Met You Yet' singer has popped the question to his Argentinian songstress girlfriend over the holidays.

Another engagement news has leaped out in the early 2010, and this time, it came from singer Michael Buble. According to Star Magazine, the Canadian-born jazz crooner has become betrothed to his Argentinian songstress girlfriend Luisana Lopilato after asking her hand in marriage over the holidays.

The magazine also reported that the 34-year-old presented Lopilato with a Tiffany diamond ring when proposing to her. Providing details of the proposal itself, a close friend to the star said, "He proposed in Argentina, in front of Lu's whole family. They both cried - they're ecstatic." He then took her to Hawaii where they stayed in friends' Maui beachfront mansion.

Buble was claimed to be over the moon on his engagement that he was declaring his engagement at a dinner January 1 at Maui's Spago restaurant. "He was introducing Lu to everyone in the restaurant, proudly proclaiming, 'We're engaged,' " the source said. "He was so happy to show her off."

The source further added, "The next day Michael was sad because he had to put Lu on a private plane to Buenos Aires - she stars in an Argentine TV soap opera and she had to be on set. But she'll be back in Vancouver or Los Angeles with him in a few weeks."

Michael Buble had a three-year relationship with Emily Blunt before meeting Luisana Lopilato at a concert in Buenos Aries in November 2008. It is still unclear whether they have set a date for the wedding or not, but the friend said, "They're looking at some time next year." His representative declined to comment.
