Calling it the most painful thing he has experienced, the 'G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra' star recalls the time when he suffered severe burns to his penis during 'The Eagle of the Ninth' shooting break.
Channing Tatum apparently is not shy on sharing the accident on the set of "The Eagle of the Ninth" that left his penis severely burnt. Gracing the cover of Details magazine's February 2010 issue, the 29-year-old hunk recalled the time he dealt with the mishap he deems "the most painful thing" he has ever experienced in his life.
Opening up about the incident, the "
G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra" star began his story by explaining how to survive the freezing cold Scottish Highlands, which is the shooting location for his upcoming drama movie. "The only way to keep warm was by pouring a mix of boiling water and river water down your suit," so he explained.
The husband of actress
Jenna Dewan went on detailing, "We were finally done shooting for the day, and one of the crew guys asks if I want to warm up before I go. I'm like, Nah, I'm good. And then I thought, Why not?" He continued, "Thing is, he'd forgotten to dilute the kettle water. So he poured scalding water down my suit."
"And I was trying to pull the suit away from my body to somehow get away from the boiling water, and the more I pulled the suit away, the lower the water went," Tatum elaborated. "It just went straight down and pretty much burned the skin off the head of my dick." He further said that the pain was too much for him that he asked the driver who rushed him to the nearest hospital to knock him out.
The former stripper additionally admitted, "I've been to the hospital, gotten stitches, had broken fingers and toes. But this was a suffocating kind of pain." Though so, the actor who made his break with a role in "
Step Up" said that he has recovered since, adding "Now my penis is fantastic! One hundred percent recovered. Put me back in the game, Coach."
Channing Tatum takes the role as Roman centurion Marcus Aquila in "The Eagle of the Ninth". He stars opposite
