The star of 'The Blind Side' nails Best Actress in Drama, while the leading man of 'Sherlock Holmes' took home Best Actor in Comedy or Musical at the 67th Annual Golden Globe Awards.
The names of
Sandra Bullock and
Robert Downey Jr. have been added up to the winners list of the 67th Annual Golden Globe Awards. Both of these Hollywood stars were announced by presenter
Mickey Rourke to be among the recipients of this year's Best Actress and Best Actor in a Motion Picture.
Having lost to
Meryl Streep for the title of Best Actress in Comedy or Musical, Bullock redeemed herself with a win for Best Actress in Drama. She landed the honor for her performance in "
The Blind Side", and bested over
Emily Blunt,
Helen Mirren,
Carey Mulligan and
Gabourey Sidibe.
Downey Jr., in the meantime, won the Best Actor in Comedy or Musical for his titular role in "
Sherlock Holmes". He put aside competitions that included
Matt Damon from "
The Informant!",
Daniel Day-Lewis from "
Nine",
Joseph Gordon-Levitt from "
500 Days of Summer" and Michael Stuhlbarg from "
A Serious Man".
In addition to those two stars,
Jeff Bridges has also been announced by
Kate Winslet as Best Actor in Drama. Having been nominated for four times before, he took his first win for his role in "
Crazy Heart". Upon receiving the honor, the "
Tron Legacy" actor thanked his wife on stage.
