Although remaining coy on the matter, the Jonas Brothers frontman does give a hint that he might take a break from the band he formed with his brothers and plan to have a project of his own.
There is a possibility that
Joe Jonas will follow the footstep of his youngest brother,
Nick Jonas, in having a side project. Though remaining coy when asked about the matter, he has given a hint that he might take a short break from the
Jonas Brothers and plans to take the stage brother-less.
The 20-year-old singer told Marc Malkin of E! Online on Friday, January 15 at the Critic's Choice Awards in Hollywood that he has been writing a lot of music. "I'm writing songs right now," he said. "I'm writing a lot of music." When asked if he has any plan in creating a side project of his own, he however refused to say yes or no. Still, he answered with a smile that he has been writing five songs with some of his friends from different bands.
In addition to the song writing, the "
Camp Rock" star has been reading scripts and looking forward to doing more films. "I'm looking forward to doing more acting," he said. "I know everybody says this, but I want to be able to do everything. I won't be satisfied until I'm ready to do every kind of role from a villain to a comedian."
Opening up about his love life, Joe Jonas stated that he is currently single and loving it. "This is the longest I've ever been single actually," he recently talked with told People Magazine about his eight-month relationship hiatus. "I love it. I still date and things like that but just not committed, which is nice."
The one-third of the Jonas Brothers previously dated country singer
Taylor Swift before calling it quit back in 2008. He moved on by dating actress
Camilla Belle, whom he met while shooting for his band's music video titled "Lovebug". After almost a year together, he and Camilla finally split in 2009.
