Before the 46-year-old legendary songstress accepts her award at the 3rd annual BET Honors, she is saluted by the 'Dreamgirls' actress with a rendition of her famous song 'I Will Always Love You'.

Jennifer Hudson has saluted her idol
Whitney Houston at the 3rd Annual BET Honors by taking the stage and singing a song for the 46-year-old legendary songstress. On Saturday, January 16, the 28-year-old singer sang her rendition of Houston's song "I Will Always Love You".
The "
Dreamgirls" actress' performance wasn't the only salutation the star of "The Bodyguard" received that night. Prior to Hudson's performance, gospel singer Kim Burrell sang "I Believe In You and Me" to Houston. Both performances received standing ovation from the audience as well as Whitney Houston herself.
