Providing details about the global telethon for victims of the earthquake in Haiti, actor George Clooney also names Bono, Sting and Justin Timberlake as performers.

George Clooney has uncovered. Opening up to The Associated Press at the 67th Annual Golden Globe Awards, the star of "
Up in the Air" named the two songstresses along with
Bono,
Sting and
Justin Timberlake as the musician to lend their voice to rally support and raise money.
At the event held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Sunday, January 17, the 48-year-old went further to detail that more than 40 celebrities are expected to attend the January 22 telethon. The actor who is set to host the show stated the aim of the benefit is "to show the people of Haiti that the whole world is paying attention." Official line-up for the performers is yet disclosed.

Ryan Seacrest, the star of "
The Men Who Stare At Goats" revealed that songs performed by the musicians will be made available for purchase on iTunes. "We're going to have a lot of great musicians - we're putting them together as we speak, and then we'll be able to release the songs on iTunes the next day, so that they'll be a continuing ability to make money for several of the charities," he shared.
"Hope for Haiti" is a global telethon that is set to air commercial-free across ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, CNN, BET, the CW, HBO, MTV, VH1 and CMT on Friday, January 22, at 8 P.M. ET/PT. George Clooney will host the show in Los Angeles, Haitian-born singer
Wyclef Jean in New York, and CNN's Anderson Cooper in Haiti. All proceeds and donations will benefit Oxfam America, Partners in Health, Red Cross, UNICEF and Wyclef's Yele Haiti Foundation.
