Chace Crawford Wishes the Best for Ex Carrie Underwood

On the red carpet of the 2010 Golden Globe Awards, the 'Gossip Girl' hunk states that he wishes nothing but the best for the newly-engaged 'Before He Cheats' hitmaker.

"Gossip Girl" star Chace Crawford apparently has no hard feelings towards his former girlfriend, Carrie Underwood. The 24-year-old actor has revealed that he wishes the best to the "American Idol" season 4 winner, who recently got engaged to Ottawa Senators center Mike Fisher.

"Absolutely! I wish her the best," Crawford told Us Magazine when asked whether he has well wishes for the "Cowboy Casanova" singer and her new fiance. The Nate Archibald's depicter in The CW's series exclaimed his words at the red carpet of the 67th Annual Golden Globe Awards which took place on Sunday, January 17.

Chace Crawford and Carrie Underwood dated briefly for several months before they split in spring 2008. In an interview with Extra the following month, Underwood revealed that the star of the upcoming movie "Footloose" dumped her via text message in March 2008. Nevertheless, the 26-year-old country crooner then added that "it was completely mutual" and that both of them "were fine."

Underwood began dating Mike Fisher in October 2008 and the two got engaged in December 2009. So far, they have not set a wedding date yet. "Our schedules don't provide us too much time to get married and have time to really enjoy being married," she said in a radio interview, adding that she's been "trying to work it out and move some stuff around."
