Trying to prove whether or not the footballer's manhood had been digitally altered for his Armani underwear ad, TV star Elena Di Cioccio attempts to grab his privates outside a restaurant in Milan.
David Beckham has fallen victim to the latest bizarre publicity stunt for an Italian TV. On Wednesday, January 20 while he was in a middle of a TV interview, the football superstar was surprised by a female Italian reporter wearing yellow rubber gloves when she attempted to grab his manhood.
The incident took place outside a restaurant in Milan, Italy, and the reporter carrying out the prank was Elena Di Cioccio of Italian TV show "Le lene" or "The Hyenas". Explaining the reason for her act, the female reporter told viewers, "we have seen fascinating photographs of David Beckham in his underpants, " adding "even his wife says that he is well equipped and calls him Golden Balls."
Di Cioccio further detailed that her stunt is done to prove whether Beckham's privates were digitally enhanced for the Emporio Armani ads. She said, "Well the image may have slipped slightly as he has been replaced in the Armani campaign by a younger footballer, Cristiano Ronaldo, but we wanted to find out if he was as well endowed as the pictures suggest or if they were touched up."
When the husband of Victoria Adams realized Di Cioccio was trying to cop a feel of his manhood, he jumped back and gave her a stone-faced look before being hustled back to a hotel. His security guards then stepped in and dragged the reporter away as she shouted, "I touched it but it's small. David you have conned us all. What did you use cotton wool? It's all a trick."
A source close to David Beckham told Mail Online, "It was done in jest and that's how David took it. She didn't actually grab it, it was an attempt. She just got his trouser leg." AC Milan's spokesman confirmed the incident, "We are aware of the incident and we have spoken to David about it but we have no comment to make." An insider at Le Iene meanwhile said, "It was just a joke and we hope that Beckham took it in the spirit it was meant."
