Expanding her fashion empire, the 'The Price of Beauty' star is launching a denim line which concept is to make women's booty to look good.
Jessica Simpson apparently hasn't done with the expansion of her clothing empire. After having her own fashion products from handbags to shoes to lingerie, the 29-year-old songstress will be adding jeans to her fashion line. For the new denim line to be launched in July, she has teamed up with Camuto Group and Jonas Apparel.
On the reason why she created the line, the
Nick Lachey's ex-wife said, "Because I live in denim, the fit was the most important. A girl's booty needs to look good." She went on explaining, "I was inspired to create a great denim line that complements the entire Jessica Simpson lifestyle brand -- a jean that becomes a girl's best friend, that everyday go-to pair."
When it comes to jeans, the pop singer who takes turn to country music with album "Do You Know" has met with criticism. She was mocked by media for wearing her high-waisted "mom jeans" in early 2009. Taking on the stage of the Radio 99.9 Kiss Country's annual Chili Cookoff, she sported a tight low-cut black top, high-waisted rib coverin' mom jeans which immediately drew reports of her gaining weight.
Jessica Simpson's denim collection itself will include jeanswear, woven, knit tops, jackets, and skirts. They will be available in 700 doors for Fall 2010. Jeans will wholesale from $20.00 to $24.00 and tops will wholesale from $9.00 to $20.00. Denim line aside, the singer has been reported to have earned $450 million from her fashion line.
