Tiger Woods' Wife in Contact With Mistress Before Car Crash

Suspicious of the relationship between her husband and Rachel Uchitel, Elin Nordegren reportedly posed as the pro-golfer in texting the NYC club manager before he crashed his SUV.

Details on what really happened on November 27, 2009 when Tiger Woods got into a solo car accident have slowly been unraveled. Claiming to be in the know of the events leading to the car crash, The Daily Beast's Gerald Posner came out with a story that Elin Nordegren, the pro-golfer's wife, was in contact with his mistress Rachel Uchitel before the incident took place.

Posner, who claimed to get the info from two sources, reported that Woods had given Nordegren advance warning about the National Enquirer's report on his alleged affair. In trying to convince his wife that his relationship with Uchitel was platonic, the 34-year-old athlete had even put Nordegren on the phone with his mistress for around 30 minutes a day before Thanksgiving.

While Nordegren was said to be buying the story after the conversation, her suspicion got the better of her that led to an argument with Woods on Thanksgiving Day. To stop the fight, Woods took Ambien to fall asleep. It was that time that Nordegren got her hand on her husband's cellphone and found Uchitel's number as well as a text that read, "You are the only one I've loved.".

Nordegren then began sending text to Uchitel imposing as Woods. The former model allegedly wrote, "I miss you. When are we seeing each other again?" When the NYC club manager texted back, Nordegren called the mistress and said something like, "I knew it was you." A surprised Uchitel reportedly blurted out, "Oh f--k!", before hanging up.

The mother of two was quick to wake up Woods in her rage. She began hitting him on the chest and arms with her fists. When Woods ran into the car, she chased him from the house wielding a golf club. It is still unclear whether Nordegren smashed the SUV rear windows before or after Woods careened off a fire hydrant and smashed into a tree.

Having been married to Tiger Woods since 2004, Elin Nordegren reportedly still furious about the affair, but will wait until he finishes his sex rehab at the Pine Grove Behavioral Health and Addiction Services clinic in Hattiesburg, Miss. before making final decision on whether to pursue a divorce. She has been reported to have visited her husband at the facility earlier.
