While the 'Heartbreak Warfare' singer and the 'Fifteen' crooner are indeed stepping out for dinner together in Nashville, they are not alone since they are accompanied by a group of about 15 friends.
John Mayer and
Taylor Swift have just been spotted going out together, but before words of them dating have the chance to circulate, it has been confirmed they were not on a date. The shooting down of possible romance came from a representative for hot spot Cabana, the restaurant in Nashville where the two dined on Sunday night, January 24.
"They were with a big group," the rep clarified the matter to E! News. "They just seemed to be friends." Strengthening the rep's statement, People Magazine detailed that while Mayer and Swift sat next to each other throughout the meal, they came to the restaurant accompanied by a group of about 15 friends. "It looked like a big group of Nashville friends," the publication cited a source as saying.
People also noted that this was the second time Swift making a visit to Cabana in one week. A source mentioned that the "You Belong with Me" hitmaker was seen stopping by the restaurant on January 19 with a smaller group of friends. She, at the time, ordered the Blanco pizza with provolone cheese and roasted garlic.
32-year-old Mayer was in Nashville to film an upcoming episode of CMT's "Crossroads" with
Keith Urban, which is scheduled for Tuesday, January 26. Meanwhile, 20-year-old Swift was in town to shoot a music video. The two musicians have sparked romance rumor earlier when they collaborated on "Half of My Heart" track for his latest album "Battle Studies".
