Stating he has talked to someone who was inside the power couple's home, Ian Halperin, whose book predicted the demise of the Hollywood couple, is convinced that the pair have indeed split.
Conflicting reports regarding the relationship status of Hollywood couple
Brad Pitt and
Angelina Jolie have been swirling. While some insisted that the pair has split and others strongly denied it, "Brangelina" author Ian Halperin suggested that the announcement of the pair could be expected to come out anytime soon.
"Whoever issued denials say their people denied it, but these people have no idea," the author told PopEater. "I spoke to someone who was inside Brad and Angie's home and they gave me a first-hand account of what's been going on. They said there's definitely been trouble brewing inside the house, and the spin they're going to give it is very similar to Brad's friend Guy Ritchie."
Pointing out that the way the couple handling the rumors is similar to Ritchie's separation to
Madonna, Halperin further noted, "This is the type of way it's going to play out." He added, "You're going to see denials, you're going to possibly see them appear in public for a photo op to make it seem that everything looks normal and fine. Look, Pitt's good friends with Guy Ritchie and he's gonna follow the script of Guy and Madonna."
While a family member has denied the split rumors earlier, the one person who seems to be confirmed of the split was Brad's brother, Doug Pitt. "It's no secret they have been in a pretty loveless relationship for about a year," he recently told The Sun. "They barely spend time together and when they do it is very fraught." He then revealed the only thing that have kept them together is their children.
Representatives for the "
Inglourious Basterds" actor and the "
Changeling" actress haven't denied nor confirmed the break-up rumors, but several occasions pointing out the couple are indeed having some issues have surfaced. The two reportedly had an argument at a restaurant in Manhattan in early January and they haven't been seen together much as of late.
Brad Pitt was seen going solo at the
George Clooney's "Hope for Haiti" telethon on January 22, while Angelina Jolie's whereabouts remain unknown. Though some reports claimed she was in New York City for a Vanity Fair photo shoot, a rep for the magazine told Us Magazine, "The reports from this weekend are incorrect."
