Showing her support for Haiti relief efforts, the star of 'Friends' has dug her own stash and donated $500,000 to help the Haitian earthquake victims' recovery.
Jennifer Aniston has shown her philanthropic side in support of Haiti. E! Online reported that the leading lady of "
Love Happens" has joined the long lists of stars like
Leonardo DiCaprio,
Sandra Bullock,
Brad Pitt and
Angelina Jolie in donating their own money to Haiti relief efforts by giving out $500,000 for the earthquake victims.
The 40-year old was said donating the big amount of money to three organizations participating in the Haiti relief efforts, Doctors Without Borders, Haitian health care provider Partners in Health and AmeriCares. Aside from donating money, the Golden Globe Award-winning actress also on Friday, January 22 took part on "Hope for Haiti Now" telethon.
At the charity event organized by
George Clooney, Jennifer Aniston was joined by her ex-husband Brad Pitt, who earlier donated $1 million together with Angelina Jolie, and many other celebrities. While the star of "
The Bounty Hunter" was seen answering phone calls, stars like
Jay-Z,
Rihanna,
Bono and
Taylor Swift took the stage to raise money for Haiti. The telethon has so far raised $61 million.
