Appointed as a special fashion correspondent for Entertainment Tonight at the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards, the runner-up of 'American Idol' season 8 assures he won't be mean on the red carpet.

Adam Lambert will be present on the red carpet of the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards with a special assignment. The "For Your Entertainment" singer has been tapped as a special fashion correspondent for Entertainment Tonight, and he promises there will be no harsh criticism when he performing his job.
"I'm overly honest, so that will probably show through," the 27-year old stated before promising, "I won't be mean though. I'm not mean." Asked to rate himself as a fashion police, the singer who made controversy at 2009 AMAs uttered his confidence, "I'll be ok. I love clothes, I love fashion. I pay attention to that stuff. I'm a big fan of most of the people that will be there."
The 52nd Annual Grammy Awards will be held at Staples Center, Los Angeles on Sunday, January 31. Some of the nominees have been tapped as performers, including
Beyonce Knowles,
Taylor Swift and
Black Eyed Peas. Beyonce led the pack with ten nominations, followed closely by Taylor who gathered eight.
Adam Lambert himself has recently opened up about going international. On the red carpet of the 16th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards at Los Angeles' Shrine Auditorium on Saturday, January 23, the 27-year old singer told Laura Saltman of Access Hollywood, "I'm just doing a lot of international press now, just trying to get the album out worldwide, which is so exciting."
