Victoria Adams to Design Hotel in Dubai

Although being offered a reported 25 million pounds by Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates for the job, the David Beckham's wife hasn't agreed just yet as she still weighs her options.

Former Spice Girls member Victoria Adams could be adding hotel designer to her already-extensive credits. The Mirror reported that the singer famed by her Posh nickname has been offered 25 million pounds to design a luxurious hotel in Dubai by Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates Sheik Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum.

The 35-year-old singer-turned-fashion designer was reportedly approached by the ruler of Dubai after she met him when she and husband David Beckham enjoyed their holiday in the Gulf in summer 2009. She was presented with the offer through a personal e-mail allegedly because the Sheik was impressed by her sense of style.

"Even in these credit-crunched times, the fee offered to Victoria was astronomical. She was absolutely stunned," an insider said of the offer. Though so, the business woman still weighs on her option and hasn't made any decision on the job. Her spokeswoman explained, "Victoria is always keen to look at ways of growing her business, but for now her focus is New York fashion week next month."

If Victoria agrees to do the project, she will partner with top designer Karl Lagerfeld to work on the hotel that will be located on a fashion-themed island Isla Moda off the Dubai coast, which is a part of The World development. The mother of three will reportedly design the rooms, select furnishings and oversee staff uniforms.

While she first made a household name through singing, Victoria Adams finds more success as style icon. She has designed a limited-edition fashion line for Rock & Republic called VB Rocks in 2004, before launching her own denim brand, dVb Style, in 2007. She also headlined the ad campaign for Emporio Armani women's underwear for autumn/winter 2009/2010.
